Swetha Bharadwaj hails from a culturally rich family. She has her bachelors in Mass Media (Advertising) from Jai Hind College, Mumbai, and Masters in Communciations, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).

Her interest in dancing made her step towards the learning of Bharatanatyam from Mrs. Rema Kumar and also various folk and contemporary styles of dancing through school and college. She was part of the college and university dance troop and has traveled through India and Australia performing and learning dance.

She is the brainchild behind the idea of 'V-Dance' in 2009 to encourage children, to learn and to love dancing. She is one of the multi-faceted professional who has proven experience in Dance and Choreography. ‘V – Dance’ is combination of dancing styles such as International Folk, Contemporary styles and Bollywood styles, giving students an opportunity to try new styles as well as learn about the culture and history of where the dance is from. V Dance attempts a new genre of dance every month and encourages students to be choreographers by coming up with their own variations of the style.

In terms of public speaking, Swetha became a Toastmaster at the age of 18 and Advanced Communicator Silver. She has won numerous awards at competitions and has taken on the role of the Master of Ceremonies at various events.

She started ‘ChatterBox Qatar’ in 2014 with a view to give individuals an informal space where they can gain confidence, learn to appreciate their individuality and express themselves before an audience. The idea is to equip them with life skills beyond just public speaking that will be helpful to them in all spheres of their life.

She has been a part of the Skill Development Centre Family since Sept 2014.


We aim to nurture talents of each of our students, enriching their performance skills, there by generating a wider understanding of the art forms. We also prepare advanced students for professional careers in their chosen art form. All students are provided with an opportunity to perform before an encouraging audience consisting of their parents, friends and well-wishers in annual events arranged at the centre every year. We also conduct stage programs for Qatar National day, Republic day, Vijayadashami and Navarathri Celebrations. Apart from these activities, we conduct drawing, quiz competition from the younger ones to the higher grade students.
